Applications are invited from suitably qualified graduates for a fully sponsored PhD studentship within the Nottingham Geospatial Institute in the Division of Infrastructure and Geomatics in collaboration with UK Sport.This case studentship has been developed around a long-term interest by UK Sport in emerging technology for the measurement of surfaces and positioning and attitude determination. Their interest is in the dynamic movement of people and objects e.g. sleds, boats, bikes, as well as, the accurate mapping of the environment, e.g. tracks, fields, spaces, courses.
