The purpose of the present study was to investigate the cognitive dimension of the environmental responsibility scale at primary school's students due to the different place of residence and the different frequency of participation in recreation activities. Sample in the present study were 202 students at Primary Schools in the prefecture of Laconia. The scale of Zafeiroudi & Hatzigeorgiadis (2013) was used to evaluate the cognitive dimension of environmental responsibility, while demographic data of the students was collected. The results supported that the cognitive dimension of students' environmental responsibility differs due to the students' different place of residence and the different frequency of participation in outdoor recreation activities. The results are discussed toward the strengthening of school physical education programs through new related environment and outdoor recreation programs.
